Bibiani GoldStars emerged as champions of the 2025 GHALCA Top 4 competition, securing the trophy on head-to-head advantage despite Hearts of Oak’s convincing 2-0 win over long-time rivals Asante Kotoko in the final round.
The mini-tournament concluded with intense matches that provided critical insights for all four teams ahead of the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.
The headline clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko delivered high drama at the University of Ghana Stadium, where the Phobians displayed a commanding and assertive performance from the outset.

Their quick and cohesive attacking play unsettled the Porcupine Warriors, with young Frank Duku opening the scoring as early as the fourth minute after a dazzling team move. Kotoko struggled to mount a consistent response against a tightly organized Hearts defense.
Kotoko’s attempts to restore parity in the second half were thwarted by an inspired Hearts backline and a standout effort from goalkeeper Mohammed Camara, who made a spectacular save to keep out Martin Karikari’s powerful volley.
Hearts eventually doubled their advantage through Emmanuel Amankwah’s well-timed header from a corner kick in the 73rd minute, sparking jubilant celebrations among their supporters.
Despite Hearts of Oak’s dominant display on the pitch, it was Bibiani GoldStars who ultimately claimed the title, benefiting from superior results in head-to-head encounters throughout the tournament.
