Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren has named his squad for the upcoming Pink Ladies Cup in the United Arab Emirates, injecting fresh energy with six new players earning their first senior national team call-ups based on stellar club form.

Turkey-based goalkeeper Rose Baah of Giresun Sanayispor, Ampem Darkoa Ladies duo Diana Amoako and Ajegipina Zakaria, plus Alexander Emefa Tay, Sharon Sampson, and Helen Alormenu are among the emerging stars selected.

Goalkeeper Baah has been a cornerstone for her club side this season, while Amoako, fresh from Black Princesses World Cup qualifiers against South Africa, has anchored Ampem Darkoa’s defence this season.

Ghana faces a tough Group stage draw against Hong Kong, Russia and Tanzania when the Pink Ladies Cup kicks off on February 28, promising high-stakes action in the UAE.

Beyond the silverware, the four-nation showdown doubles as crucial prep for the Black Queens’ assault on the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco next month, sharpening their edge for continental glory.
