Ghana’s U15 girls’ team, the Black Damsels, are poised to defend their crown at the CAF African Schools Football Championship finals in Maputo, Mozambique, from April 2 to 10, 2026. The defending champions, affectionately known for their flair and resilience, enter the tournament with unshakeable confidence, ready to uphold their status as continental queens.

Organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), this championship has quickly become a cornerstone of youth development across the continent. Since its launch, the competition has excelled in scouting raw talent and bolstering grassroots programs, playing a pivotal role in African football’s bright future.

The Black Damsels’ previous victory etched a historic chapter for Ghana, elevating the nation’s profile in women’s youth football and underscoring a deep commitment to nurturing the next generation of stars. Assembled through a strong partnership between the Ghana Football Association and the Ghana Education Service, the squad has trained rigorously, blending skill with unbreakable spirit.

Yet, the path to glory won’t come easy. Fierce rivals from across Africa are hungry to topple the champions, testing the young stars in every match.

Fueled by discipline, determination, and national pride, Ghana’s Black Damsels aim to reaffirm their dominance, proving once more that they set the gold standard in schools’ football on the continent.
