The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Jinapor has commended the Bui Power Authority, BPA, for the role it is playing in ensuring stability on the national grid, particularly during recent increases in demand.
He stated that during the recent upgrade by ENI to increase gas supply, one of the reasons there was uninterrupted power supply was due to strategic operations of the Authority.

During a working visit to Bui Power Authority, BPA, as part of ongoing stakeholder engagements within the energy sector, Mr. Jinapor underscored the government’s unwavering support for Ghana’s clean energy future.
The Minister interacted with the management and staff of the Authority, taking stock of BPA’s current operations, challenges, and strategic direction.

Mr. Jinapor said his Ministry is committed to supporting BPA to align with the government’s vision for a green and sustainable energy sector.
Highlighting BPA’s strategic alignment with government policy, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Kow Eduakwa Sam outlined the Authority’s strong focus on renewable energy development.
He reiterated BPA’s dedication to contributing meaningfully to President John Mahama’s green transition agenda.
Mr. Sam affirmed BPA’s readiness to lead Ghana’s shift toward a more sustainable energy future.
