The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced its highest-ever monthly revenue collection of GH₵1.74 billion in July 2025.
Acting Managing Director of ECG, Julius Kpekpena, disclosed the milestone when he addressed the Energy Committee of Parliament on Friday, September 26, 2025.

“This year, in July, we recorded our highest-ever revenue collection, GH₵1.74 billion. It’s a record, and we want to celebrate that,” Kpekpena said, expressing pride in the achievement.
He added that beyond the financial success, the company is working to improve its services. ECG has introduced new measures to make it easier for customers to access power connections and meters without unnecessary delays.
“We want to reduce the frustrations applicants face in getting power supply or meters. We know there are challenges in some districts and regions, and we are working to resolve them. Internally, we are streamlining our processes and making significant progress,” Mr. Kpekpena assured.
