Ghana’s Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta is expected in Parliament today (July 25, 2022) to present the Mid-Year Budget Review.

Mr. Ofori-Atta was initially scheduled to present the review budget on the 13th of this month, but had to be pushed back due to government’s engagement with the IMF.

Presenting the business statement for Parliament’s work this week, Deputy Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin called on his colleagues to do the needed research, so as to do justice to the financial policy during the debate.

Some Members of Parliament (MPs) have however objected to the time allotted for debate. One of them is MP for Bongo, Edward Bawa.
