Minister of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, has announced that the Government of Ghana and the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) have successfully resolved issues surrounding a $750-million financing facility signed in 2022.
Dr. Forson, in a Facebook post on Thursday December 25, 2025, said the resolution was reached to the satisfaction of both parties, allowing them to continue their partnership in support of Ghana’s development agenda.
The agreement clears the way for renewed cooperation between Ghana and Afreximbank after discussions to address challenges linked to the facility.
Dr. Forson noted that the outcome reflects the government’s commitment to constructive engagement with international financial partners and to promoting economic stability and growth in the country.
