The Ghana Revenue Authority, GRA, says although it encountered numerous challenges in 2018, it was able to improve its growth by 16 percent.

Speaking at the 2018 send-off ceremony for retired staff of the GRA in Accra, the Commissioner General, Emmanuel Kofi Nti said the year began on a good note, but operations in relation to customs deteriorated along the line.

This necessitated the implementation of strategies that would help address the situation.

Mr. Nti intimated that going forward the GRA intends to implement strict code of ethics for its staff and management to ensure compliance, thereby enhancing the effective execution of its mandate.

The Commissioner General commended the retirees for their hard work and dedication during their active service, while urging them to feel free and come up with ideas that could be beneficial to the GRA in its transformational agenda.

The about 190 retired staff were given television sets, a citation and African print cloth for their spouses.
