The Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Ghana is to upscale its production to meet the growing demands of Pharmaceutical products used for prevention and supportive treatment in the wake of the confirmed cases in the country.
The Association is seeking FDA’s approval to manufacture hand sanitizers to off-set the shortage of the product.
This follows a meeting between President Akufo-Addo and leaders of the Association at the Jubilee House.

The President stressed the need for the Pharmaceutical industry to be financially resourced to become be an exporter to neighbouring countries.
President of the Association, Kofi Nsiah Poku, said the industry has the means to produce more medicines for supportive treatments.
