Coup plotters docket forwarded to Attorney General for advice

The prosecution in the case involving the ten alleged Coup Plotters say they have forwarded the docket to the Attorney General’s Office for advice and instructions on their next line of action.

The prosecution, however, prayed that the suspects be remanded at their previous custody.

The court presided over by Eleanor Kakra Barnes subsequently adjourned the case to January 23.

In another development, lawyers for the suspects have filed a motion on notice for an order of disclosure of evidence by the prosecution.

One of the Lawyers, Victor Kodjogah Adawudu told the court that they have served prosecution with the motion.

The Prosecutor ASP Asare however indicated to the court that they have received the said motion but were not served early enough.

He however prayed for time to be able to study the motion and file an affidavit in opposition.

ACP Agordzo, Dr Frederick Yao Mac Palm, Denyo Kafui and Bright Allan Debrah Ofosu together with six others have been charged with conspiracy to commit treason.

All the 10 suspects were present in court.
