The General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association, Dr. Justice Yankson says the call on the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for a lockdown has become imperative following the increasing trend of confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in the country.
Speaking on GBC’s ‘Behind The News’, Dr. Yankson expressed worry about the country’s health system saying it is not as robust as compared to that of advance countries who are also battling with the spread of COVID-19.
Dr. Yankson said a lockdown of the epicenters such as Accra, Tema and Kumasi is an option the country can choose.
