About 8,000 Junior High School (JHS) graduates in the Central Region who were placed in Senior High Schools across the Central region under the Free SHS programme this year have still not reported.

It is not clear the reasons for the situation.

The Regional Free SHS Secretariat is worried that a huge number of JHS graduates would miss such a golden opportunity to have secondary education free of charge.

The Director of the Secretariat, Okatakyi Kwame Opoku Agyemang, is therefore calling on the parents of such children and community leaders to look out for them in the communities and encourage them to report to their placed schools.
