The chief of Nkoranza in the Bono East Region, Nana Kwame Baffoe IV, has appealed to President Akufo-Addo to consider upgrading some educational facilities in the Nkoranza Municipality to tertiary status.
According to him, the Nkoranza Technical Institute already has some advanced infrastructure in place which will make its conversion to a technical University easy.
He also pleaded with the President to help in establishing Teaching and Nursing colleges in the area to enhance education of the people.
The Chief made the appeals when he received President Akufo-Addo at his palace in Nkoranza.
President Akufo-Addo told the Chief that the call for advancement of education in the area is in the right direction.
He said he will engage the Minister of Education on that, adding that, plans are already in place to get Bono East a public University.
