Duori Traditional Area commends SDD-UBIDS Council for appointing VC

The Chief and Leader of the Duori Traditional Area in the Jirapa Municipality of the Upper West Region, Naa Tikang Diedong Dombo, has eulogised the council for Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (SDD-UBIDS) for appointing Professor Emmanuel Kanchebe Derbile as the University Vice-Chancellor.

He said Prof. Emmanuel Derbile had a remarkable track record in academia, rising from a Teaching Assistant in 1999 to the pinnacle of academic leadership as Pro-Vice Chancellor and now Vice Chancellor this year, 2024.

Naa Tikang Diedong Dombo, in a statement, thanked the University community for recognising his contribution and hard work. He said Professor Derbile’s achievements are a testament to his unwavering dedication and hard work in the tertiary education sector in Ghana. He said the Chiefs and people of Duori Traditional Area, “Tenkpogre” will offer their unwavering support as he embarks on a new chapter of leadership.

He asked for God’s wisdom for him to enable him to provide the necessary collaborative leadership for the transformational development of the University.

Reports available to Radio Ghana indicate Prof. Kanton Issaka Osumanu is also the substantive Pro-Vice Chancellor of SDD-UBIDS.
