The Ministry of Education has announced that all outstanding teacher allowances for November 2025 have been paid, following the resolution of a technical problem on the payroll system.

In a statement dated 17 December 2025 and signed by the Deputy Minister for Education, Dr Clement Apaak, the Ministry said the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) had completed the processing and payment of two categories of teacher allowances due for the period.

According to the statement, a technical challenge during the final payroll run initially caused delays in the payments. The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department has since resolved the issue, allowing the allowances to be paid.

The Ministry apologised to teachers affected by the delay and acknowledged the inconvenience it caused.

Dr Apaak also thanked teachers across the country for their patience and continued commitment to duty, noting that their dedication is critical to the delivery of quality education in Ghana.

He added that the Ministry would continue to work closely with the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department and other stakeholders to improve the payroll system and prevent similar challenges in the future.
