The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced a new review period to allow candidates who sat for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to verify their details before school placements are finalized.

From September 1 to September 8, students will be required to log into the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) portal to confirm information such as gender, school codes, and program choices on www.csses.gov.gh. The process, according to GES, aims to minimize errors that often occur during placement.

Director-General of GES, Professor Ernest Kofi Davis, said the Ministry will release an explainer video to guide candidates and parents through the verification process.

He urged all stakeholders to take advantage of the review period to avoid complications when placements are published.

The Director General of GES also cautioned against fraudsters who attempt to sell admission slots to unsuspecting parents.

He noted that the placement process is strictly merit-based and cannot be influenced by payments or external contacts. “Any attempt to secure placement through money or middlemen is fraudulent, and we urge the public to report such cases immediately,” he said.

Students who secure placement are expected to report to their assigned schools between October 18 and October 20.
