A former Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, Professor George Oduro has called on student leaders to uphold the truth and act as agents of change for the voiceless in society.

To this end, they must not sit on the fence when it comes to interrogating national issues holistically to ensure peace and sustainable development.

Prof. Oduro noted that the current Public University Bill is not appropriate and contextually flawed to undermine academic freedom.

Prof. Oduro was speaking at the launch of the 56th SRC Week Celebrations of the University of Cape Coast.
