The National Council of Parent Teacher Associations, PTA’s has encouraged parents to intensify their financial assistance to schools. This is to complement government’s efforts at the Free SHS policy.

Ahead of reopening for Form 3 SHS students tomorrow, PRO of the Council, Felicity Ahafianyo, told Nathaniel Nartey, that some parents have been involved in voluntary fee payments since the Free SHS policy was launched in 2017.

This she said makes the policy implementation easier. She allayed fears of possible discrimination among fee-paying and non-fee-paying students.

Madam Ahafianyo advised parents to include vitamin C and enough PPE in their wards provisions and reiterated the call on GES to provide an academic calendar for the year.
