The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has donated a public address system and its accessories to his alma mater, Wa Senior High School (WASEC).

The package, valued at GH₵120,000 was presented to the school by the Official Photographer of the Right Honourable Speaker, Bukari Augustine Mumuni.

Handing over the package, Mr Mumuni mentioned line arrays, speakers, power sequence, drive rack, microphones, and a mixer as some of the accessories of the sound system.

The Headmaster of WASEC, Adams Iddrisu Thirdman, who took delivery of the public address system, was very thankful to the Speaker, saying Mr Bagbin has paid his dues to his alma mater (WASEC).

The Headmaster recalled that on 30th June, 2023, the Speaker was at WASEC to inspect an auditorium project initiated and got to know that the School’s public address was not functioning well, and he made a pledge to assist with a sound system, and he had delivered.

Mr Thirdman gave an assurance that they would take very good care of the items donated and encouraged others to emulate the example.

He added that WASEC also has a challenge in terms of additional domitories for students as well as classroom blocks to cater for the growing number of students.
