The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment, NaCCA, has warned of drastic measures against any publisher, bookshop and schools that are in possession of books that have not been approved by the agency.

The warning follows the circulation of a book titled “What is Happening to Me” by Usborne Books which has not been approved for use by schools and students.

In a statement, Director General of the NaCCA, Dr Edward Appiah, said the publishers of the said book have not submitted it to Council for the necessary assessment and approval.

He said the NaCCA is embarking on random visits to pre-tertiary schools and bookshops to discourage the use of unapproved books.
