Narcotics: Court orders EPA to destroy large quantities intercepted

Large quantities of Indian hemp and cocaine are set to be destroyed under the supervision of Court Officials, Police and the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA).

The destruction of the drugs are on the orders of the Accra Circuit Court given between 2021 and 2024.

They are made up of 242 fertilizer sacks, 315 wraps, 24 sachets and 68 compressed slaps of Narcotic substances.

The destruction will be carried out at the seashore behind the Black Star Square in Accra.

Officials are awaiting the third and final delivery of the substance to begin the exercise.
