The Tema Regional Fire Command is yet to conduct investigations into the cause of a fire outbreak at ‘Deblo Enterprise Tanker Yard’ at Kpone Kokompe Tuesday, June 9.
According to the Tema Regional Fire Operation Officer, Abaka Blankson, the fire started around 5 p.m. and it took officers about one and half hours to put it under control.
Speaking to the media, he stated that even though the cause of the fire is not immediately known, information gathered at the scene indicated that personnel from the Company were transferring fuel from one tanker to the other when the fire sparked off.
He said the GNFS will conduct independent investigations into the issue to know the actual cause of the fire and make recommendations.
