Government of Barbados in partnership with Ghana open recruitment for Allied Health Professionals

The Government of Barbados, in partnership with the Government of Ghana, has announced a recruitment drive for qualified allied health professionals to take up positions in Barbados, according to a press release dated Thursday, April 9, 2026.

The recruitment, which is being coordinated through the Ministry of Health, covers several specialised roles, including cardiac perfusionists, ECG technicians, EEG technologists, audiologists, diagnostic radiographers, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists and speech therapists.

“The Government of Barbados, in partnership with the Government of Ghana, seeks to recruit qualified Allied Health Professionals interested in a challenging yet highly rewarding professional opportunity in Barbados,” the statement said.

According to the release, applicants must meet the regulatory requirements of the Allied Health Professions Council and have a minimum of five years’ working experience in their respective fields. The positions are open to individuals with the required qualifications and professional certification.

Applicants are also required to submit a comprehensive set of documents, including academic certificates, proof of good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council, appointment letters, a recent police clearance report, and a valid passport with at least two years’ validity.

“Each applicant is required to provide academic certificates, certificate of good standing appointment letters criminal record certificate and other relevant documents,” the statement added.

The application process is scheduled to begin on April 10, 2026, and will end on April 14, 2026. Interested candidates are expected to apply through the official recruitment portal of the Ministry of Health at https://hr.moh.gov.gh

Candidates who are shortlisted will be required to present original and certified copies of their documents during the interview stage, while unsuitable applications will not be acknowledged.

“Candidates are required to submit all the necessary documents on the day of the scheduled interview. Unsuitable applications will not be acknowledged,” the statement noted.
