Ghana Government through the Ministry of Education is considering termination of Osramani Community Day Senior High School contract and all similar uncommenced contracts under the Community Senior High Schools, (SHSs’) Project.

According to the Sector Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, these contracts will be re-awarded, “based on the availability of funds”.
Dr. Prempeh stated this in respond to a question asked by Member of Parliament (MP) for Krachi West, Helen Adjoa Ntoso on “whether the Education Ministry plans to construct the Osramani Community Day Senior High School building which was awarded in 2016”.
The Contract to Construct Osramane Community Senior High School was awarded in June, 2015 as part of the 101No. E-Blocks being funded by the Government of Ghana.
The site was handed over to the Contractor, Messrs Happy Check Limited and work was expected to commence on September 25, 2015, for completion within 18-months.
But Minister noted that, “the Contractor, Messrs Happy Check Limited after clearing the site, failed to commence work on the project.
The Supervising Consultant has issued warning letters to the Contractor and recommended termination of the Contract for non-performance”.
