891 new COVID-19 cases push Ghana’s tally to 21,968

891 new COVID-19 cases from 73 Districts are the new COVID figures from the Ghana Health Service. This brings Ghana’s total case count to 21,968 positive cases. Active cases are now 4,683.

About 17,156 recoveries have also been recorded with total death toll standing at 129.

Director-General of Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kumah Aboagye gave out the figures at the weekly media briefing in Accra.

He said Greater Accra and its surroundings pose the greatest challenge now because a lot of people in the Capital are contracting the disease.

He emphasized the need for all to stick to the safety protocols.

On the issue of inadequate isolation centers, Dr. Patrick Kumah Aboagye gave the assurance that there is enough isolation centers across the country.
