Anesthetics strike takes toll on hospitals in Upper East Region

The withdrawal of services by members of the Ghana Association of Certified Registered Anesthetists is beginning to have a negative impact on the conduct of major operations at the Upper West Regional Hospital.

When GBC News visited the hospital, it gathered that doctors have to refer major surgical cases to private hospitals because of the absence of the Registered Certified Anesthetists.
