Research has shown that three out of every ten outpatient records and admissions to hospitals are kidney related.
A Medical Doctor at the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua, Dr Hectoria Awekeya, revealed this in an interview with GBC News as part of the World Kidney Day celebration.
She advised the public to regularly check their kidneys at hospitals to avoid any unforeseen circumstances.
