The Trust Jesus Foundation has appealed to government to enroll nurses who are passionate about mental health to boost mental healthcare in the country.
President of the Foundation, Mary Quaicoe said poor quality mental health delivery tends to impact negatively on productivity especially in situations where people have no idea they are suffering from mental health issues, yet there is an effect on their work.
She urged mental healthcare professionals not to stigmatize people with mental health issues so that it can motivate others to seek prompt healthcare.
Mrs. Quaicoe said this at an outreach to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital by members of the foundation where they feted the patients.
