The Ministry of the Interior has announced that Friday, December 5, will be observed as a statutory public holiday in celebration of Farmers’ Day.
In a statement signed by the Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, the Ministry said the day will be marked nationwide in recognition of the vital role farmers and fishers play in Ghana’s development, food security, and economic growth.
Farmers’ Day, celebrated annually on the first Friday of December, honours the dedication and contribution of Ghana’s agricultural workers. This year’s observance is themed “Eat Ghana, Grow Ghana, Secure the Future.”
