Accra is set to flex its muscles on the global stage with the appointment of Mr. Kenneth Odeng Adade as Chief Operations Officer (COO) for the 15th Africa Armwrestling Championship.

The event, slated for the Ghanaian capital, promises high-stakes battles as top armwrestlers from over 20 countries vie for supremacy and crucial qualification spots to the 2027 African Games in Egypt.

Odeng Adade brings a wealth of expertise as a seasoned sports event manager and project coordinator.

He will spearhead coordination for the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), ensuring seamless execution of what organizers hail as one of Ghana’s grandest armwrestling spectacles.

His leadership aims to deliver a flawless tournament that showcases African talent at its fiercest.

Supporting Odeng Adade is Mr. Abass Sulley, the dedicated Team Manager for Ghana’s national armwrestling squad, the Golden Arms.

Together, they will orchestrate every detail, from venue setup to athlete logistics, building on Ghana’s growing reputation in combat sports beyond the football pitch.

The championship will draw around 400 athletes and officials, transforming Accra into a hub of raw power and international camaraderie.

With battles unfolding across categories, expect gripping matches that test strength, strategy, and endurance on the armwrestling tables.

The Ghana Armwrestling Federation confirms Accra’s full readiness, with world-class facilities primed for the influx.

This event not only spotlights emerging stars but also positions Ghana as a powerhouse host for continental sports, fueling national pride ahead of bigger African showdowns.
