The Kintampo Health Research Center, KHRC, is working around the clock to acquire the status of a Covid19 Testing Centre to bring relief to the Ghana Health Service in the old Bono-Ahafo region which currently has to test samples in Accra and Kumasi.
Speaking to Radio Ghana at the Centre which is in the Kintampo North Municipality of the Bono East Region, the Executive Director of KHRC, Dr. Kwaku Poku Asante, said they have the personnel and the laboratory space but what is required is the provision of a QPCR Machine to enable them to test for Covid19.
“At this point, we are looking for that support and machine to start the testing,” he added.
