The National House of Chiefs has commended President Akufo-Addo, for the bold decision in the fight against COVID-19.
It mentioned the recent imposition of restrictions in some parts of the country, closure of the country’s borders and the ban of public gathering as some measures that have contributed to the low number of positive cases recorded in the country.
President of the National House of Chiefs, Togbe Afede, made these remarks when a delegation from the House met with President Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House in Accra.
The meeting which is at the behest of the Presidency was to thank the Traditional Leaders for their support in the fight against the Novel virus. Togbe Afede said the measures were generally understood by the people leading to its general acceptance.
President Akufo-Addo was grateful to the Chiefs for the support given to the Government in its COVID 19 fight.
