Node Eight, a digital innovation foundation in the Volta Regional Capital, Ho, has launched the Eight AI Lab to strengthen and promote digital innovation in Ghana.
The AI lab focuses on Product Development, Research, Applied Projects, Ethics and Policy Development and Skills Training in Artificial Intelligence.
Product and Innovation Manager, Senanu Xorse said the AI lab has developed AI products like popular jesi_ai, Nouritrack, and Fafa_App which address local health and education challenges.
“We’re excited to grow this ecosystem and use data and AI for better decisions, stronger systems, and youth-friendly Products,” he said.
The Eight AI lab would run AI training programs for young people and professionals, prioritizing the use of ethical AI. “At the heart of the Eight AI Lab is a strong emphasis on ethical use of AI in our products,” Mr Xorse added.
The launch marks a new phase for Ghana’s digital ecosystem, leveraging data and AI for improved decision-making.
Node Eight is a non-profit Innovation Foundation dedicated to advancing prosperity in Ghana and across Africa by equiping young people with the skills they need to get good-paying jobs in tech, through a digital apprenticeship program.
