Voting was briefly interrupted at the polling station in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional Capital. It happened when the Regional Youth Organizer, Raphael Sarfo Patrick’s ballot was refused by the EC for breaching regulation on secrecy of vote.
He cast the vote but was stopped by Agents and the EC from putting the ballot paper into the Box.
He was eventually seized by the EC.
Mr. Raphael Sarfo Patrick’s allegedly showed the thumb printed ballot to the people around leading to a protest by Agents of the Candidates compelling the EC and the Police to swiftly intervene.
He has since left the voting centre and calm has been restored for the exercise to continue.
