The National Service Authority (NSA) has urged all organisations and stakeholders to recognise attestation letters issued to National Service Personnel (NSPs), particularly in cases where the official National Service Certificate has not yet been issued or has been misplaced.

The Authority’s management clarified that attestation letters are issued only after confirming a service personnel’s eligibility and status, making them valid official documents. These letters are intended to temporarily serve the same purpose as the National Service Certificate until the certificate is available.

In a press release dated Wednesday, 21st January 2026, the NSA emphasised that organisations are expected to accord full recognition and acceptance to these attestation letters. Institutions requiring further verification can contact the Authority through its official channels.

The NSA counts on the cooperation of all organisations to ensure smooth administration of national service across the country.
