The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially revealed the squad for the Super Eagles ahead of their upcoming clash in the 2025 Unity Cup.
The semi-final match is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 28, at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford against Ghana, with kick-off set for 19:00 GMT.
This fixture marks a significant showdown between two West African rivals as they seek to advance to the tournament final.
Notably, the announced squad features some high-profile players missing out, including Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface, Alex Iwobi, Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey. Despite these absences, head coach Eric Chelle has assembled a team with strong Premier League representation, particularly in midfield.
The duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Frank Onyeka, both prominent figures in English football, are expected to play key roles in the team’s efforts to secure victory.

In addition to Ndidi and Onyeka, the squad includes talented attackers such as Kelechi Iheanacho, Samuel Chukwueze, and Moses Simon. These players will be relied upon to create scoring opportunities and drive the Super Eagles forward against Ghana, their semi-final opponents.
The team’s overall strategy will likely focus on leveraging their offensive firepower and midfield strength to overcome the challenges of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s head coach Otto Addo is also preparing for the semi-final, with an announcement of his final squad expected in the coming days.
The winner of the Nigeria-Ghana semi-final will face either Jamaica or Trinidad and Tobago in the final on Saturday, May 31.
