Paris Saint-Germain’s winger, Ousmane Dembélé has been named The Best FIFA Men’s Player for 2025, capping a dream year where he spearheaded the French giants to their first-ever UEFA Champions League crown.
The 28-year-old French star dazzled with eight goals and six assists across the European triumph, earning MVP honors in both the Champions League and Ligue 1.
Dembélé’s brilliance fueled PSG’s domestic sweep, securing Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and Trophée des Champions titles, while guiding them to the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup final.
His lethal form also powered France to third in the UEFA Nations League, with individual nods like Ligue 1 Player of the Year and a spot in the UNFP Team of the Year, plus joint-top scorer status in the French top flight.
Voters from national team coaches, captains, journalists, and fans, each weighted at 25%, propelled Dembélé to victory via a points system (5 for first, 3 for second, 1 for third) based on performances from August 11, 2024, to August 2, 2025. Independent oversight ensured fairness, with tiebreakers favoring top first-choice picks from captains.
The award underscores Dembélé’s evolution from injury-plagued talent to global dominator, transforming PSG into European royalty and etching his name among football’s elite.
