The Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC), has unveiled its new corporate logo, a redesigned website, and a data dashboard integrated into its website. Since its establishment, the Committee has made use of a number of communication channels to provide information to the citizenry.
PIAC’s professional profile has grown and evolved over the last 12 years, and the Committee therefore decided to upgrade some of its communication tools.
That is its corporate logo, website, and the addition of a data dashboard.
Launching the tools in Accra, a Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr. John Kumah, said PIAC’s role in the management of oil revenues cannot be overemphasised, hence the need to support their activities to help them fulfil their mandate. He reiterated the government’s commitment to provide the necessary assistance to the Committee where needed to aid their work.
Chairman of PIAC, Prof. Kwame Adom-Frimpong, said the tools will serve different purposes and communicate different aspects of the Committee’s work. He said for PIAC’s corporate logo, which used to be the Coat of Arms with its name beneath, the new logo has key elements like an oil rig, oil drop and the Ghana Cedi sign to reflect what PIAC does and its role.
PIAC’s corporate colours, black, which signifies crude oil, and gold, which stands for wealth, are also reflected in the new logo.

The Committee’s modified logo shows that it plays a key role in ensuring that revenues from the production of crude oil are utilised in a manner that benefits the public.
