Information coming from the quarters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has it that the Member of Parliament (MP) for Akwatia, Mr. Ernest Yaw Kumi, has passed away.
Sources close to the family and the party disclosed that Mr. Kumi, a first term MP in Ghana’s Legislative House died today, Monday, July 7, 2025.
The cause of death of the late Akwatia lawmaker has not yet been officially disclosed.
As of now, Parliament and the NPP leadership have yet to issue formal statements or announce funeral arrangements.
