The Tema South District Engineer of the Power Distribution Service, PDS, Ernest Appau, has cautioned Assembly Members against mounting unauthorised street lights as the District Level Elections draw near.
This, he said, has been a major challenge to the Company since it has to dismantle such street lights which most of the time cause power loss and damage to power lines.
Mr. Appau said this on the sidelines of a Stakeholder Engagement with Assembly Members in the Tema South District.
He also appealed to them to be vigilant when power goes off especially at night as miscreants have developed the habit of stealing fuse boxes at power houses in the communities.
