Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has admonished politicians to eschew politics of insults and rather focus on politics of ideas and data to solve the country’s problems.
Addressing electorates at a Community Connect at Nsakina, a suburb in Accra, as part of his campaign in the Amasaman Constituency, Dr Bawumia called for a more dignified and constructive engagement in the political discourse, urging his opponents to speak on substantive policy issues.
He intimated that attacks on individuals, CSOs, among others, do not augur well for the country’s democracy, stressing that focusing on politics of ideas and data brings development and the needed transformation into the country.
