The Voter Exhibition Exercise which begun last week to give the electorate the opportunity to verify their details ahead of the December 17 District Level Elections and the Referendum to determine Political Parties participation in local elections, has so far exhibited apathy from citizens.

GBC’s Correspondents in some parts of the country report that turn out has been abysmally low.

From the Bono Region, John Sam Arthur reports that of all the centres visited, only the Regional Administration Exhibition Centre had an impressive turn-out.

From the Ashanti Region, Correspondent Nicolas Osei-Wusu also reports that his area is experiencing low turn out, with intermittent rainfall perhaps contributing to the apathy towards the verification of names in the voters register by citizens.

The exercise ends on Tuesday, September, 17 at 6pm.
