The Coalition of Domestic Election Observers, CODEO, has deployed more than 4000 observers to polling stations across Ghana to monitor today’s (December 7) general election.

Acting Chairperson of CODEO, Sheikh Armiyaw Shaibu said the Coalition will employ an advance observation method known as PVT to independently verify the accuracy of the vote tabulation process and the official declaration of the presidential results.

He was hopeful that the PVT which is an addition to the tradition observation will boost confidence in the electoral process.

Shiekh Armiyawo Shaibu said the Special Voting exercise which was held last Tuesday (December 1) was generally smooth and the COVID-19 safety protocols were enforced.

The Coalition appealed to the Electoral Commission (EC) officials at the polling centers to firmly apply the electoral laws in an objective manner.
