More than three thousand registered voters who were placed on the multiple registration list by the Electoral Commission have been cleared to vote in this year’s election.

This was after the court overturned the decision by the Commission to place them on the multiple list. This means the list which was 18,000 has now reduced to 15,000.

This was revealed by Chairperson of the EC, Mrs. Jean Mensa at its Let the Citizen Know series in Accra.

She denied allegations that the Commission is deliberately disenfranchising voters by putting them on the exceptions list.

Mrs. Mensa gave a regional breakdown of the register which has a total of 17,027,641.
