Ghana’s Minister of Information, Mr. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has hinted that his government’s debt sustainability strategy is yet to be announced in full.
The Minister of Information has also clarified that the President’s assurances of no haircuts with respect to money invested in bonds cover just the principals for the time being.
According to him, his understanding of “No principals will have a haircut,” is that no principals will be touched. He told Journalists in an interview.
“When they are done with the rest of the strategy, and they come out and do a full announcement, we will have clarity on the form that the debt restructuring will take,” Mr. Oppong Nkrumah disclosed.
