A member of Dr. Bawumia’s Campaign Team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye has refuted claims that Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is charting a new path for himself by dissociating himself from major decisions taken by the ruling government.
Mr. Aboagye’s defence stemmed from the aftermath conversations on the “Bawumia Speaks” lecture held at the Ohene Konadu Auditorium in UPSA, yesterday February 7, 2024.
In the lecture, Dr. Bawumia outlined a series of policies, including the abolition of the controversial E- Levy to be implemented by his government when given the nod to become president of Ghana.
However, speaking on the GTV Breakfast Show, Mr. Aboagye explained that Dr. Bawumia’s speech was misconstrued by the public, adding that Dr. Bawumia’s visions are influenced by the decision to move forward.
“Dr. Bawumia has never said anywhere and he never said it in yesterday’s speech that he is dissociating himself from anything that this government has done “, he told Kafui Dey.
