An emergency Inter-Party Advisory Committee(IPAC) meeting by the EC to brief political parties on the challenges associated with the voter exhibition exercise has ended in Accra.

The meeting follows accusations by the NDC that the ongoing exercise is fraught with irregularities and missing names.

The Party’s Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama and his running mate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang had to suspend their regional campaigns over the concerns with the register.

The former President said too many issues have characterised the voter registration and exhibition exercises due to EC’s poor management. But the EC in a reaction said the complaints by the NDC in relation to the margin of error with the Voters Register is negligible.

Speaking after Thursday’s IPAC meeting, Campaign Coordinator of the NPP, Peter Mac Manu said the party is satisfied with the explanations of the EC on the supposed missing names.

However, the NDC says it is still not satisfied with the explanation given by the Electoral Commission.
