Ghana’s newly appointed Ambassadors and High Commissioners have pledged to prioritise economic diplomacy in their assignments, vowing to strengthen trade, investment, and innovation ties with partner countries.

Speaking on behalf of his colleagues after their commissioning at the Jubilee House on Thursday, September 4, 2025, Ambassador Victor Emmanuel Smith, Ghana’s envoy to Washington D.C., assured President John Dramani Mahama that the diplomatic corps would work tirelessly to translate his vision into action.

“We will persist through hell or high water to build on the sturdy foundation you have laid and are committed to deliver on the promises we made to the good people of Ghana,” he declared. “Trade, investments, and innovation will be our focus to enrich lives and create jobs in Ghana.”
