The National Peace Council has called for calm to prevail in the country in anticipation of the declaration of the results by the EC.
Speaking to Radio Ghana, the Executive Secretary of the Council, George Amoh hinted of discussion between key stakeholders of the electoral process including the major political parties and the EC to ensure that peace prevails before and after the declaration of the results.
Meanwhile the Electoral Commission this morning announced that it had received14 of the 16 regional results of the Presidential elections. This was at a media briefing at the EC headquarters. Our correspondent, Nathaniel Nartey is standing by to give us updates.
