The Managing Director of the IMF, Christine Lagarde, has praised Ghana’s management of the Economy, saying she is impressed with the economic indicators.
She said the economy was fragile when the Akufo-Addo-led government took office but all the economic indicators are turning in the right direction.
Madam Lagarde made these comments when she paid a courtesy call on President Akufo-Addo as part of her three day visit to Ghana.
Her visit comes weeks after Ghana exited the IMF bailout. She said the IMF is ready to assist Ghana in any form if the need arises.
President Akufo-Addo said Ghana will not return to an IMF bailout.
